Limerick County Council commissioned KME to complete the link from Limerick to Kerry as part of The Great Southern Trail.

The pedestrian footbridge was fabricated and installed by KME in December 2012.

Kerry Mechanical Engineering was heavily involved in all design stages working closely with both Limerick Co. Council and the designated consulting engineers on ensuring the best quality and design possible for this project.

All fabrication and painting was done in house in our facilities, the bridge was galvanised by one of our galvanizing contractors.
All welds in this bridge due to its final position and initial specification underwent ultrasonic, magnetic particle inspection and general vision testing by an external welding inspection contractor before project handover.
